Terms of Service

1. Agreement

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern access to and use of Code Stacked services, including the company site at codestacked.dev, your Code Stacked account, billing, and products we operate under the Code Stacked brand (including Deprecast at deprecast.codestacked.dev). By creating an account, signing in, or using a product, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

2. Company-wide account

• Your Code Stacked account is a single identity for Code Stacked products you access with the same verified email.
• Authentication is email magic-link based. You are responsible for control of that email inbox and for activity under your account.
• Products may establish host-scoped sessions after a company sign-in or handoff. Logging out of the company account ends company-site access; product session lifetime after logout is as implemented for each product.
• You may not create accounts by automated means, share accounts in a way that circumvents plan limits, or attempt to access another person's account.

3. Billing at the company

• One billing relationship is associated with your Code Stacked identity (one Stripe customer). Product plans are entitlements under that customer — not separate long-term billing silos per product.
• Paid plans (for example Deprecast Indie) are charged according to the price and interval shown at checkout. Taxes may apply.
• You manage payment methods, invoices, and cancellations through the company billing experience and/or the Stripe Customer Portal linked from your account.
• Unless required by law, fees are non-refundable once a billing period has started. If a subscription is canceled, access continues through the end of the paid period unless otherwise stated at cancel time.
• Failed payments may result in loss of paid entitlements until payment succeeds.

4. Products — Deprecast

Deprecast is a multi-vendor API breaking-change radar. It monitors public vendor signals (such as public OpenAPI/Swagger specs, changelogs, and RSS) and delivers digests and alerts based on your configuration.

• Free tier — limited product features as described in the product UI.
• Indie tier — paid entitlement (currently marketed around $19/mo) unlocking Indie-gated features such as expanded watchlist monitoring, weekly digest, urgent alerts, and optional Slack incoming webhook integration, as shown at purchase time.
• Deprecast is a best-effort early-warning tool. It does not guarantee detection of every undocumented, unannounced, or silent breaking change made by third-party vendors.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Abuse, disrupt, or overload the services or related infrastructure.
• Probe, scan, or reverse engineer systems except as allowed by law.
• Use the services to send spam or unlawful content.
• Misrepresent affiliation with Code Stacked or a third-party vendor.
• Circumvent entitlement checks or payment requirements.

6. Intellectual property

The services, branding, and software are owned by Code Stacked or its licensors. You retain rights to content you submit (for example contact messages or product configuration). You grant us a limited license to host and process that content solely to operate the services.

7. Disclaimers

Services are provided "as is" and "as available" to the maximum extent permitted by law. We disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant uninterrupted or error-free operation, or that vendor-change coverage is complete.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Code Stacked and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, goodwill, or business opportunities, arising from your use of the services, vendor API breaks, missed alerts, service downtime, or billing disputes, even if advised of the possibility. Our aggregate liability for claims relating to the services will not exceed the greater of (a) amounts you paid us for the services in the three months before the claim or (b) fifty U.S. dollars (US $50).

9. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms, if required by law, or if needed to protect the services or other users. You may stop using the services at any time and cancel paid subscriptions through billing controls. Sections that by nature should survive (including billing obligations already incurred, disclaimers, and liability limits) survive termination.

10. Changes

We may update these Terms as the company and products evolve. The "Last updated" date will change when we do. Continued use after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. Material changes to company-wide identity or billing will be disclosed here before public marketing of unified account.
